We're a long, long way from
where God wants
us to be, and
Yet, we're also right where,
in
His infinite
mercy, He wants us.
You can't have it both ways,
you say, protesting
the fallacy of
maintaining cognitive dissonance.¹
Maybe not me I say, but
because
of God's transcendence,²
He sees
a reality too difficult for us to dance.
In short, my fellow believers,
we're with
Jesus in the heavenlies,
But still a long, long way
from
being like
Him in the earthlies.
God made us as one-of-a-kinds,
but wants to
not leave us like that,
looking like Jesus Christ in Heaven;
He wants us in our time
on Earth
to be transformed,
to become less
of who we are, and more like His Son.
And by glory, that'll be
done.
