Still and silent
Trusting in God
Like Jesus in the tomb
On this day between
The crucifixion and the
resurrection,
Shrieks of terror and shouts
for
joy,
Great pain and even greater
relief,
Universal darkness and
unending light,
The finality of death and
eternal life,
Deep despair and buoyant
hope,
A not forever,
Saturday.¹
