As I stand,
No matter the storms
thundering overhead,
Or the sharp knives
trickling blood
from my throat,
I am in Your hands
To do with me
As seems good
and proper
to You.*

*the proof of Jeremiah’s
prophesy was that he
did not run when threatened
by those who did
not like his message, instead
he stood his ground,
accepting whatever was to
be done with him,
knowing that he was ultimately
in God's very
own hands |
