Would it were
we could ascribe
Glory to God
as is His due:
Not just for hanging stars
sparkling in
the night,
Or raising mountains
towering so
high,
But also for raindrops
drizzling down
a window pane?
Or for baby cheeks
giggling grandpa
to smile?
And for wet noses
nuzzling hearts
that hurt?
After all, heavenly beings
do so ascribe.
