Long left fallow in the
shadow of sin,
Eden awaits restoration
in the promise
of the cross.
Adam robbed mankind of its
innocence,
But Jesus staked us a way
for it to grow
back again.
Shame for far too long held
man hostage,
Prying open our physical
eyes, we saw our
nakedness.
Driven from the garden,
our first home,
We could not hope to find
our way back
on our own.
Watered deep by the Lamb's
own blood,
We are forgiven every sin,
once for all
and for all time.
Proclaimed in Christ innocent
again,
With spiritual eyes opened
wide, we can
see Eden anew.
