The world lusts for the
mortal facade;
God wants hearts that beat for His.
The spirit of the world busies
itself
stirring up sons of disobedience;
Do not swim in its pools
of excess,
fix your mind instead above.
His ways are beyond this
blind world;
His every thought escapes them too.
God is the author of only
peace, not
the grit and groan of angry angst;
For He so loves, He gave
His only Son
to live and die, to take our place.
Joining Him in His heavenly
dwelling
for eternity, requires only that we
believe.
