Believers in Jesus are vessels,
once so fragile, and since,
broken,
in many pieces, shattered,
but filled
with a great glue that holds
all the pieces
together,
behold, making shapes beautiful,
anew,
otherwise, left scattered
upon the floor,
destined only for the pan
and broom
and into the waste so cast.
What is this glue so great,
you ask?
The glue is a Who, my broken
friends,
more than a treasure, or
a gift of grace,
He is the loving, living
life of Jesus Christ,
living in our bodies, entirely,
filling, holding
together every slivered space.
2 Corinthians 13:5b - "Know
ye not your own
selves, how that Jesus Christ
is in you." |
