In The House of His Heart
The past will be past
troubles forgotten
hidden from my eyes,
behold, I will build
new heavens
and a new place for men.
The former will be forgotten
it will not come to mind
be glad and rejoice forever,
behold, I will build
a new heaven
a new Jerusalem.
My own will build houses,
and live in them,
no longer will they build
for others to stay.
A time will come
for them to enjoy
all that is new
this I must say.
But where is the house
that will be built for me,
where shall I rest
permanently?
He who is humble
And contrite in spirit
You see,
He who trembles at my very word,
In the house of his heart
There will I be.
