be
Whom taken, God has their
breath,
Whom buried, God has not
permitted,
Whom scavenged, God has
left for the
beasts of the wild,
Who wonder still,
"What have we done?"
How far fallen must a people
be
Whom for, God says do not
mourn
Whom from, God has taken
His peace
Whom of this place, God
will cause
to cease to be,
Who ask still,
"What is our sin?"
How far fallen must a people
be
To know enough such a God
lives,
But do not in turn live
for Him?
