The power of prayer is not
us,
no matter who, how many, what
is said, or how long.
There is power in prayer,
indeed,
a mighty power, power for change,
power to stem any tide.
And there is no magic in
concluding,
in Jesus' most precious, "In His Name,"
but power's only in His name.
The power for prayer lives
deep inside us,
the Spirit of God wrought by Christ's victory*
waits ready with a sword in hand,
To vanquish every evil foe
for all who invoke**
the Name of Jesus as the authority of our God
Himself to heal, deliver, and so save.
Acts 4:12
*the
divine work He accomplished by dying for us
on the cross, and then confirming
our price for sin
was fully paid by His rising
from the grave
**when
we pray and invoke the Name of Jesus in
doing so, we are demonstrating
our faith in Him
and what He did for us while
on earth to be able to
answer our prayer, according
to God's will |
