Oh, to do like the Grackles¹,
though not in their
silent ubiquitousness,
nor their incessant
mischievous larceny,
and especially not
in the nerve of their
boorish
arrogance,
But when ten in a row, side
by side,
lift their pointed
beaks skyward high,
like a row of nuns
in St. Tim's front pew,
clasped hands held
aloft, all out worship,
in all
sincerity, of their Almighty God.
