I went to hear a word from
God
one bright Sunday morn,
Through a messenger of His
I'd never heard,
At a church whose doors
I'd never darkened,
Who had much more than
a word or two to say,
But I wasn't ready, as he
spoke
for nearly
one full hour,
Way past what I could stand
in my
45-minute shoes.
I, however, took great comfort,
knowing
God promised
When once I stood before
Him
in Glory
head to toe,
There was to be no more
pain,
and no
more shoes...
Hence no more need
for tears to flow.
