God is not a killer of joy.
His holy commands are not
in the least
meant to be
Sisyphean.
Obedience to Him is not
a heavy and
overwhelming burden,
But instead an opening wide
of the floodgates of joy,
letting the
river of true rejoicing run more free than free...
His great delight over our obeying Him,
and our gushing joy over pleasing Him.
God is not a killer of joy.
He is the only
true giver of it instead.
