We are helpless lambs,
everyone, God’s kids,
who need a shepherd.
We are little children
who at first must sit
at the little kid's table.
But we are also more
than mere selfish sheep.
We are made in God's image,
in the image of them,
And in them we have the
power
to resist, to defeat
every enemy within
and each one outside.
We are to become the adults
who choose to be led to victory
and sit at the big person's table.¹
