Abba did not place us
on the dark path of this earth
without a lit lamp to light the way.
He gave us His Word
for our heart, mind and soul
to follow the Way back to Him.
Lamps filled with oil
must continue to be filled
in order to burn all the way home.
Wicks must remain lit
so the oil will always burn,
otherwise the path will go dark.
And the wisdom of God,
as well as His understanding,
will prevail in living out our lives.
