The more we see of the
breadth, length,
depth and height
of our Creator's forgiveness,
the more our love for Him will be.
But there is this little
problem:
way back when,
we chose to sin,
separating us from God, with no way
back into His arms.
And it broke His heart,
and dashed
His plans
for lives lived together
forever as He made us
to be.
Talk about love, it is all
He is
and the holy
for eternity:
His love is broad.
He loves everyone He created.
He wants that no one should
suffer.
His love is long.
He loves us so much He sent
His only son
to be with
and to die for us.
He put the life of His own
on the line.
His love is deep.
He loves us no matter how
depraved
or prolonged
our sinfulness.
His rescuing reach knows
no end.
And His love is high.
He wants us all, more than
any thing,
to be with
Him forever.
He wants us always at His
side in glory.
The secret to loving God
much,
even more and more
and more,
is to
know how He has forgiven,
merciful that we did not get what
we so deserved, and gracious to
receive what we certainly did not.
