Fear will hold us back from
the precipice,
If we allow it.
Faith will free us to follow
Jesus past it,
If we accept it.
As I age
I sometimes wonder
If I'll go gently into that
good night,
Or kicking and screaming
with all
my might?
As I grow in wisdom
I have come to realize
For peace in passing I am
not able,
But because of the holy
power inside,
From death and eternity
I will not hide,
And I will follow Jesus
through the narrow gate
into the Shepherd's stable.
