To truly move on
in our lives
with Christ,
We have to let Him pull
ashore
the weights
we cast into the deep
to keep us anchored where we have
always laid ashore,
Burn the ships¹
we have always
sailed upon
to reach the lands
where we thought happiness must
be buried,
And break the shovels
we have long
depended on
to dig however deep necessary
to find the most elusive of all
treasures.
