Dogwood, cedar or olive
wood,
Hewed and fastened to forge
the cross of Christ
Could not carry the weight
of the sins of the world.
It was He instead,
who was without sin
who shouldered the load
before dumping them
forever into the depths
of hell.
True integrity
seeks to follow
Father God's will
in everything.
Should we likewise,
no less?
