When his last spot
is lost,
Even the leopard
has reason
to give thanks.
When her last feather
falls,
Even the flamingo
has reason
to give thanks.
When the long day
is done,
Every man and woman
have reason
to give thanks.
Even in the darkest part
of day,
When all has been stripped
away,
When there is nothing left
to say,
Be still and listen true
And you'll hear God whisper:
"I love you."
