God chose to use
poets and preachers
to share His good news,
Fools as we are, so true,
thinking anyone likes poetry
or being preached to.
That way when the impart
rattles your aging bones
and makes skip your heart,
You'll know it's Him speaking
and not nifty turns of verse
or silver-tongued orating.
Listen not to the man so
odd,
hear instead the word of God.
