Victory Rode In
Updated: Apr 2, 2021
Victory rode in
On a street of wobbly cobblestone
Seated on a fair donkey’s back
Fate that waited was His alone
A humble man
From the Father we were given
Came to serve and save lost souls
His radiant glory stands in Heaven
The people came
Palms in their hands they raised
He was their Lord, they proudly said
Their voices sang with hallowed praise
Five days later
Scorned and rejected by the same
He was nailed upon the rugged cross
Our sin to bear was His only shame.
Victory hung there
The earth shook; Death filled the blackened sky
But three days later from the tomb
Jesus, our Savior did arise.
