From deep within,
Jesus looks out upon the
world
through my eyes,
waiting patiently to exchange
mine for His,
in order to see through
Heaven's eyes,
to receive the gift of a
glimpse divine.
What am I waiting for?
The hour has already come
when true worshippers
will know that what is seen
is not reality,
and that what is unseen
most certainly is.
For only those who drink
of the water
Jesus gives
will never thirst again.
The Samaritan woman
saw Jesus with her eyes,
but eventually exchanged
hers for His,
and for the first time
she saw the Truth,
and was set forever free,
and began to worship God
in the spirit
as He always meant to be.
