Feeling the weight of God's
presence
is not like Him sitting
upon your chest,
but more like filling
your lungs with air.
Feeling the weight of God's
presence
is not like a load
upon your shoulders,
but more like feeling
a lift in your soul.
Feeling the weight of God's
presence
is not like pressing
in from all around,
but more a being
one with everything.
Feeling the weight of God's
presence
is not like being
blinded by bright light,
but more a seeing
things more clearly.
Feeling the weight of God's
presence
is not a blame that
buckles your knees,
but a washing away
of all such shame.
Feeling the weight of God's
presence
is not like a wind
that blows you down,
but a wave of awe
that blows you away.
Feeling the weight of God's
presence
is not like feeling
you are the only one,
but surrounded by
many a holy witness.
Feeling the weight of God's
presence
is not fearing God's
love will be taken,
but instead a knowing
it will never end.
Oh, that we all would feel
the weight
of God's matchless,
eternal, and holy
glory, desiring only
to follow His steps
through this
world...all the way home.
