Behind, beneath and beyond¹
Jesus sees through it all, what's
observed, said and done.
He sees past what we are,
and
on to what we could become.
He focuses on our hearts
and wants for us with others
to do the very same.
Like Him we can look past
the ugly, and
with Him become all we can
in His name.²

with compassion in recognition
of our
struggles, wanting to help
us, seeing
the good in us, knowing
that how we
appear is not the real us

since marred by sin, Jesus

in us, still
wanting to emerge and be
predominate
